Update: 5th July

The Dog Inn re-opened successfully on Saturday 4th July, running a bit differently than before the lockdown but back serving the community of Belthorn.

Thanks to all our volunteers, to all our staff but most of all to you, our customers, our neighbours, our friends for your patience and support today.

We are so pleased to be back open.

Update: 1st July

We are finalising plans before reopening on Saturday 4th July! Of course things will be a little different when we return, so to ensure your safety please follow the guidelines set out in The Dog Inn. These will include:

✅  Table service only. You must be seated to buy a drink.

✅ Card payments only

✅ Hand sanitiser station to be located at the door to ensure our customers safety

✅ We encourage people to sit outside to maintain the safety of our customers

✅ Opening hours 12-8 pm Wednesday to Sunday. Coffee shop open 2-4 pm, shop stock will be open at all times.

✅ Plastic glasses and 4 pint pitchers to minimise customer staff contact. Takeaway containers if you want to continue drinking at home.

✅ Taking contact details for all people in the building for NHS Track and Trace in line with government guidance and will be shared with no-one else.

❌ No drinking at the bar is permitted

We will also be of course practising social distancing and closely following government guidelines – there will be at least 1 metre distance between each table and our staff will minimise contact as much as possible.  Please try to observe social distancing rules when in the pub.

We are trying our best to create a safe environment. Staff and customer safety is our first priority. We may not get everything right from the start, but these are strange times for us all and we can assure you that we will be trying our best.

Welcome back!
